Mark Dubois

Mark Dubois has joined us after over seven years as Connecticut’s Chief Disciplinary Counsel. In that position, he created an office that investigated and prosecuted lawyer discipline matters as well as the unauthorized practice of law. His office handled over 2000 complaints under his leadership. He is recognized as an authority on lawyer discipline matters and the unauthorized practice of law. He wrote an influential amicus brief in the landmark case of Bysiewicz v. DiNardo which went to the Connecticut Supreme Court on the issue of defining whether political activity is the practice of law for purposes of holding the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General.
Attorney Dubois also teaches law at University of Connecticut Law School where he has been both a full-time professor and a member of the adjunct faculty. He is a graduate of Holy Cross College and UConn Law School. For 20 years he has been board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mark has tried innumerable cases to verdict. He is a member of many local, state and national professional organizations. He speaks locally and nationally on lawyer ethics issues and has delivered over 75 presentations, symposia and talks.
In his spare time Mark, collects and rebuilds bikes for underprivileged kids both in the United States and overseas.
